GeoGuessr is a game developed by Anton Wallén over winter 2013. In the game, you’re dropped onto a semi-random location anywhere on the planet: anywhere there’s a Google Street View at the least. There are five locations each game spread throughout the world (in the base game). You navigate each location by using the Google Street View controls. When ready to guess, put your pushpin on the map and get scored accordingly. No points for the opposite end of the globe; 5,000 points for a perfect guess. There are now many maps available, not just a world conquest. Regional challenges include the United States, Canada, European Union, Australia and more.
Season five ran from January 1, 2019 through September 1, 2019 when we shifted focus to Twitch away from YouTube.
Season four ran January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018.
Season three began January 1, 2017 and ran through December 31, 2017.
Season two ran from January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016 and features over 350 episodes (only missed a few days).
Season 1 is from May 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015 and features over 200 episodes of user-submitted challenges, GeoSettrs and generated random challenges. Come witness many interest challenges, including my quest for a perfect score in the US-only challenge.
