I’ve used a number of mods in my Factorio games over the ages. I’m working on compiling a list of each mod used for each series, but that will take some time. For now, here are the mods used in the current series. (For series played in v0.14+ of Factorio, no links to the mods are included because you can easily find them by searching the Install Mods interface within the game.)

General Series
- The Fat Controller. This adds remote train management to the game. A must for large rail networks. (** Note: deprecated with v0.13.x and its built-in monitor)
- Autofill. Automatically fills entities with a small amount of its required product to save time.
- Rail Tanker. Adds tankers to rail lines. Allows for transporting great quantities of oil faster.
- Large Inventory. Pretty self explanatory.
- Tree Collision. A must-have for any Factorio game. Makes it easier and more realistic to walk through forests.
- Advanced Logistics System. Allows for easier monitoring of what’s in the logistics system.
- More Light Alternative. A requirement for all YouTubers. This replaces the flashlight with a larger area of light surrounding the player. The alternative version also adds that light while within vehicles.
- Original Music in HD. I liked the original music, so I got the mod to put it back in.
- Ross Bugden’s Music. A new set of music tracks for the game. Seriously: check this guy out. Here’s Ross Bugden’s YouTube channel.
Hands Free
- Autofill. This adds the ability to autofill entities with fuel, ammo, etc.
- Bob’s Adjustable Inserters. This adds the ability to modify individual inserters.
- Bob’s Assembling Machines. This adds level 4-6 assemblers.
- Bob’s Config Mod. This is what configures all the other bob’s mods.
- Bob’s Electronics. This adds a more robust electronics sequence (boards, etc).
- Bob’s Enemies. This adds more powerful biters to the game.
- Bob’s Library Functions. This is required for bob’s mods and adds all sorts of functions.
- Bob’s Logistics. This adds many changes to the logistics network, but also inserters, belts, etc.
- Bob’s Metals, Chemicals and Intermediaries. This is the original component of bob’s mods, which adds new metals, chemicals, intermediary products and all the recipes necessary for them.
- Bob’s Mining. Adds new types of miners.
- Bob’s Modules. Adds new types of modules, including the famed God modules.
- Bob’s Ores. Adds new ores necessary for the new metals.
- Bob’s Power. This adds advanced power manipulation.
- Bob’s Revamp. This tweaks vanilla recipes.
- Bob’s Tech. This adds new research options.
- Bob’s Warfare. This adds new warfare devices, including specialized ammo.
- Larger Inventory. This adds a larger inventory, because empire.
- Original Music in HD. This returns the original Factorio music into the game.
- Rail Tanker. This adds rail tankers so we don’t have to load barrels.
- Resource Spawner Overhaul. This changes the way Factorio loads ore fields and liquid generators (oil, water, lithium water, etc).
- Ross Bugden’s Music. This adds the copyright and royalty free music from Ross Bugden’s YouTube channel into the game.
- Tree Collision. This makes walking through forests sensible and also allows for denser forests.
Angel’s Ores
- Advanced Logistics System. This allows for easier monitoring of the logistics network.
- Afraid of the Dark. This adds balloon lights and also enforces larger light radii around the player and vehicles.
- Angel’s Refining. This adds angel’s mix of special ores into the game.
- Angel’s Infinite Ores. This adds the infinite ores to the mix (otherwise there’s lots of exploration needed to find large enough patches of ore)
- Angel’s Add-ons: Ore Silos and Angels’ Add-ons: Warehouses for maximum storage.
- Autofill. This adds the ability to autofill entities with fuel, ammo, etc.
- Chainsaw. This adds a chainsaw. It helps fill the gap between hand harvesting and robots.
- Chunk Markers. This adds a way to mark chunks on the map. Helps for easier planning.
- Clock. This adds a clock.
- Factorissimo. This adds the Factorissimo buildings, which enables us to go all inception in this place.
- GDIW – Gah! Darn it! Water! This adds the ability to reverse the inputs on liquid recipes.
- Hacked Splitters. This adds hacked splitters, which allow for better balancing.
- Larger Inventory. This adds a larger inventory, because empire.

- Sticky Notes (notes and signs on map). This allows for sticky notes, which will help us label our Factorissimos.
- Tree Collision. This makes walking through forests sensible and also allows for denser forests.
